It’s been a week since Motorla’s CEO Senjay Jha unveiled the companies plans of launching a Windows Mobile 6.5 based device in the second half of year 2009, today Steve Ballmer Microsoft’s CEO confirmed in a conference call that Windows Mobile 6.5 is real and the company is planing on shipping the new mobile os on phones starting with next year.
“With releases we’ll make this year - releases we’ll make with 6.5 next year, Windows Mobile 7, I think we have a pretty interesting roadmap.”
The bad news is that Windows Mobile 7, the revolutionizing OS we’ve all been waiting for is scheduled for 3rd quarter of 2010, meaning 2 years of waiting left.
