After I reviewed a SMS Managing Application released by Vito just a few days ago (Vito SMS-Chat), today another similar application has been launched, I am talking about Sprite Archie.
What is this thing? Sprite Archie is a nice Smartphone & PDA Software, compatible to most Windows Mobile Devices, it’s main purpose is to archive your SMS and Call Activity. In my opinion after a few months every Windows Mobile Device starts running a bit slower, it needs restarts more often. Every time I managed to solve this problem with a format. Still, formatting the phone consumes about 5 minutes of your life and will erase all data stored on the internal memory. In that data are all your SMS and Call information included, by formatting the phone you will lose them also. Don’t worry, Sprite Archie is here, thanks to it’s easy to use interface you can archive all your SMS and Call Information and transfer it to your PC within few minutes, and after that format your phone with no stress of loosing some important data.
Why should you store your Call Activities?! Storing all the messages you have sent and received during a period of time has it’s meaning: some of us like to keep them as memories, others saved important information in drafts. But having a registry of the calls you made is also very useful, first of all it allows you to verify and compare the archive with the calls noted on the operator billing record. Also keep an eye on what’s happening with your phone while it’s not in your pocket. When someone makes a call from your phone, without asking for permission, you now will easily catch the liar.
Requirements for Sprite Archie: You’ll only need a Windows Mobile based Device (WM5 or WM6), except for the Palm Treos you’ll get Sprite Archie running on any Smartphone or PDA.
