On the 4th November 2008 Spb Software, a well-known windows mobile software developer released Spb Traveler 2.0 which is a very useful application as specially for those who travel a lot. Every time you will need to know things about different time zones, car rentals, flights, currency conversion this tru travel assistant will help you out.
New features brought by the 2.0 version of SPB Traveler
From now on your information about flights is provided by the Official Airlaine Guide and it’s in real-time right on your phone. A 3D globe animation shows how what the weater is like in every corner of the planet, the day and night time, local time for some cities and also selected flight routes. The interface is powered by the Spb mobile shell, with top graphics, skins, effects and it’s easy to use even by a new user. The Trip Assistant shows you more detailed information, that can be edited and proprieties of the flight like departure and arrival time, cities, terminals etc.
Also you can select a city image icon (initially a country flag) to download a photo gallery for that city. City menu offers the most common tasks as for example: add/remove city, create meeting, calculate tips, google map or update city pictures. There is also a currency convertor (support for six currencies) and unit convertor (seven types of units). The GEo Game can educate the user with questions about world flags, capitals and cities.
The requirements for Spb Traveler 2.0 are the following : Windows Mobile 5 or Windows Mobile 6, 10 mb of free space for installation and a mobile data plan, in order to be able to download the new information available from OAG about the latest flights. The cab file is about 8mb big and can be downloaded from here
and the price for the full version of SPB Traveler 2.0 is USD 29.95. But the application is definitely worth the money!
