The economic crysis seems to force the smartphone market to focus more on the medium mobile phone users. O2 announced the XDA Zest to its expanding range of branded handsets. This new phone is for now available on Pay&Go, but also on a monthly pay plan.

Manufactured by Asus, the O2 XDA Zest features Windows Mobile OS 6.1 and a large 2.8” VGA TFT display with 64k colours, Wifi (802.11 b/g), Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and GPS with SiRF Star III chipset. The 3 Megapixel camera is capable of zoom and auto focus and for video calling you can use the phones second camera. We hope that it’s configuration: the Marvell TavorP 624MHz processor, 128 MB SDRAM and 256 MB Flash ROM can make this phone a nice contestant for the other smartphones already available on the market. The memory can be extended with a microSD HC card up to 32Gb. His dimensions are 120 x 60.5 x 16.5 mm , 120g and the Lithium Ion battery should last up to 3 hours (3g talk time) or 220 hours (3g standby time).
You can buy XDA Zest starting from £249.99 with a free two weeks trial period of Co Pilot Sat Nav Software. O2 can send settings directly to your phone to ensure that it is set-up for internet browsing and picture messaging. If your phone settings are not shown use this webpage in order to obtain the settings .
