dragos Great news from HK, a OFFICIAL ROM update has been released which adds extra functionality to the HTC Diamond and removes some annoying bugs. From now on HTC Diamond is officialy a quadband GSM phone, therfore it can be used worldwide with any GSM network. More important, some bugs were removed: SMS alert delay, no signal problem, etc and some even say that the overall performance of the device gets better: better audio quality (with audio booster enabled), faster home page loading speed, improved TouchFLO 3D tab switching and movement.
The new ROM build ( ROM v1.93.831.1 WWE ) is available from HTC’s Hong Kong support site and most probabily on p2p sharing networks. Until the next offical ROM update I can’t wait to see other unofficial ROM’s (many times they were better than HTC ones). After you have done this update, why not check out some cool HTC diamond accessories.

I have finally given up on the diamond.. will not buy HTC again. The bugs they fix with their ROM’s are not the important ones. Why have they not fixed the screen lock? why when one has a missed call does the screen unlock 80% of the time allowing the phone to text and call from your pocket everytime a key or wallet touches the screen?
Why when I want to make a call do I sometimes have to use the screen, sometimes the left button and sometimes the middle button, the working one is always random from these 3. Am I alone? NO! I have several colleagues with the same bugs on Orange and we have all moved the phones on.
