A few days ago, at the CES in Las Vegas: Microvision, Texas Instruments and M3 showed up with the first mobile projectors.

Compact, flexible and highly performant the, the device the guys from Microvision showed up with, is so small that you can project clips right out of your hand, the Microvision Pico Projector was special conceived to connect easily to mobile phones, laptops, digital cameras and many other playback devices.
The quality of the projection is incredible, when looking at a projector of that size, you don’t expect to get a high-quality image out of it. The Microvision Pico Projector surly does a great job, being able to project images from a distance of 0,5-2,5 meters. It’s battery will last for more than 2 hours of projecting, and an ordinary movie is about 2 hours long.

A second mobile projector was unveiled by Texas Instruments, still their device is farther away from being launched on the market, than the Microvision Projector.

And a third projector, and the smallest of all presented at the CES is a 0,5 inch device developed by 3M, which is planed to be implemented into several devices.
