It seems like High Tech is preparing the launch of a successor of the well known HTC Touch, the new device will come in different colors, regarding the design and the shape, it will look pretty much the same. As rumors unveiled, HTC Opal will use the latest technologies of HTC Touch Diamond: as for example 3D Touch Interface.
As for the hardware configuration of the PDA, HTC Opal seemes not to be any greater than HTC Touch, it will be powered by a 200Mhz Processor (HTC Diamond and HTC Touch Pro use a more powerful one: 500 Mhz!), 256 ROM and only 128 RAM, a low resolution touch display (QVGA) and a low capacity battery of 1100 mAh.
We think this device is a reply to the yesterday announced Asus P552, HTC Opal isn’t any greater than the Asus, they both have about the same shape, the identical hardware configuration (500Mhz, 256 ROM, 128 RAM, 2 Megapixel Camera), sometimes I’m even asking myself why is High Tech wasting time developing and launching such mediocre devices when the recently launched 3 outstanding devices: HTC S740, HTC Touch Diamond and HTC Touch Pro.
