A recently launched device, that I found nice to present here is the HP iPAQ 310. Actually HP launched it about 2 months ago, it represents Hewlett-Packard’s latest GPS Navigator on the market. This quite small and light device, has a 4.3 inches wide display, smoothly integrated into the aerodynamic design of the GPS Navigator, it is quite easy to carry along the way and actually made to fit in your car, on your windshield, guiding you on the shortest way towards your travel destination.
Powered by 128MB Fast DD, Titan Dual Core 600 MHz Processor the HP iPAQ 310 represents for now one of the fastest, best internal configured GPS Navigators available. No matter how many applications you run simultaneously, the Titan Dual Core Processor won’t let you down. 2GB Flash Storage will be just enough to get all maps of the world. But, as I am sure, that you won’t need the map of every country around the globe, you can easily delete the ones you don’t need, or upload them on your PC just in case, instead you will create free storage, where you can upload mp3’s, video’s, pictures and any kind of data you like. There’s also another possibility in gaining more storage, the iPAQ 310 has a MicroSD card slot, and as far as I know 2 GB MicroSD cards are easy to obtain, and by buying such a memory card you will double the GPS’s storage. Based on Windows Mobile 5.0, Hewlett-Packard created an own easy to use, less complex interface.

The HP iPAQ 310 comes with on the 2 GB Flash Storage preloaded TeleAtlas maps for the United States and Canada, maps for other countries are available and can be downloaded over the Internet, also if you’re not satisfied by TeleAtlas you can switch the GPS Software anytime, just by finding a compatible on, for example: I can’t imagine there’s no iGo Version compatible to theĀ , and iGo is one of the best GPS Soft wares, there’s no doubt that you will find iGo maps from all around the world.
The 800 x 480 pixels wide display is what makes this device a great entertainer, watching a movie on the way is a real pleasure thanks to the great quality of the image it provides.
Price of the HP iPAQ 310 on Amazon: $327.80, but right now they are shipping this product only in USA
