How hard is it, to carry your PDA along the way as a biker? I’m sure you mostly thought of keeping it in your pocket, still that’s not the safest place your it, after a few pedals it can easily start slipping out of it, and as long as you’re concentrated on the way, there are chances that you won’t even notice when it happens. But even if you don’t lose it, every time I get on my bike, I am continuously stressed by the fact that my PDA isn’t safe in my pants pocket, to be sure that everything is okay, I make a short stop every two minutes and check if my PDA is okay. Also, when riding the bike, using the PDA GPS System is completely impossible, as long you have to keep both hands on the handlebar and stay concentrated on the way.
Somebody thought some time of making the bikers life a bit easier and figured out a way of integrating your PDA in your bike: and the result of their ideas and work was this: GPS & PDA RAM Mount
The RAP-333 allows up to three items to be mounted side by side off a single RAM mount. It’s almost like creating a dash board allowing easy access and viewing of your portable devices. Best used with a durable aluminum RAM kit, installation and adjustments are easy. This is a great option when space is limited or proximity is necessary so devices can be linked.
And I hope that there aren’t any bikers who like to go for or a ride carrying more than three PDAs, in case there are, those bikers can get two RAM mounts. Your GPS devices/ PDA will now stay about 20-30 cm in front of you, also you will be able to turn the Navigation System on and let it guide you trough the roads and why not: measure the speed you are traveling at trough you PDA?
But some more information about the product I have reviewed you will find here.
