Some time ago Google added IMAP support to their e-mail service, Gmail, but sadly that didn’t work with Windows Mobile 6. Now Google offers a way to configure IMAP on Windows Mobile 6 devices. It would have been awful not being able to use IMAP on all devices out there running Windows Mobile 6.
If you don’t really know what IMAP stands for, here’s a definition:
“IMAP is an Internet traffic intensive protocol that makes it possible to browse emails instead of downloading/fetching them and practically multiple clients (including web-based!) can be connected to the same mailbox.” Source
